There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.
That said, in my experience as a Ventura County real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.
As the real estate market has changed to a Buyers Market, I've refocused much of my energy into finding my clients the best deals in the county. This includes foreclosure, bank owned, REO, corporate owned or lender owned properties. Each are essentially the same, but those are the many common terms used by the public and the real estate professional communities. Currently, these types of properties are usually the best deals and the one's that are selling.
I grew up in San Diego County and moved to Ventura County in 1995 when I was hired by KXBS 96.7 "The Bus." I was the evening DJ for a short while before taking over the morning show with my hilarious partner "Brother Rob" Moss. That station went spanish and we were all fired. You may have also heard me on the following stations over the past 12 years: 97.5 KHTY, 95.1 KBBY, 1450am KVEN, 1520am KVTA, Oldies 106.3 KKSB (Maynard in the Morning), and just about every other station in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties thanks to a lot of commercial voice-over jobs.
Radio was killing me physically and mentally so I started exploring real estate as a new career in late 1999. By 2002, real estate was my second fulltime job in addition to radio. I quit radio for good in 2004, but have been on the air talking real estate almost every week since. My most recent real estate radio show was "Open House" heard Sundays on 1520 KVTA-AM.
I am a 22+ year Cancer Survivor. Rhabdomyosarcoma. I have a Colostomy and a Urinary Diversion.
I currently live in Santa Paula with my two doberman pinschers Timmy and Reina.
From time to time I also appear on KEYT-TV Ch. 3 as a Real Estate expert. You may also find me in the comment sections of the Ventura County Star online. I actually use my real name.
